Horrible FPS Issue

What's up everyone, I know there are multiple threads addressing this topic, but believe me when I say that I wouldn't be going through the effort to post this if I hadn't already done countless hours worth of research with no luck. I am playing direwolf20 1.0.7, and I'm averaging around 5 FPS. Obviously this makes the game virtually unplayable. I used to play tekkit and I averaged around 65 FPS, so it's definitely not my computer. I don't have a graphics card, but I have windows 7 64-bit, java 64-bit, a core i7 processor, and 4Gb of RAM. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

You will a have graphics card because it will not function without one. I assume you mean you don't have a dedicated one. Please post a console log to pastebin and link it here.

Are you playing on laptop or a desktop?

If you're using integrated, turn MipMap to 0, helped with my laptop...

I can't read that log. Just because you played tekkit does not automatically mean that it will work for ftb. Does your laptop have a dedicated graphics card? You could try disabling the opis mapwriter mod.

I don't have an option to edit mipmap at all.

It doesn't. Just integrated. And I've already disabled that with no luck :/

You could try using optifine to see of it will help. But unfortunately you may get no support if you do use it because most likely any person helping you will ask you to remove it.

Seems the newer DW20 pack needs more RAM than it used to.

I had the same problem with it running very slow on my laptop.
Some poking around shows windows was running out of memory and then using the HDD to swap... this reduced my normal 40fps to about 4-5. I had 4GB RAM on my laptop, and the dw20 pack was using around 3.2gb which left almost nothing for windows to run in. Upgrading my laptop RAM from 4GB to 8GB solved the problem (yay for christmas sales).
