Hi, the title pretty much says it all.

In my opinion, in Horizons, witches spawn way too much. I've been searching for a config to adjust this spawn rate, but I haven't had any luck.

Does anyone know how to adjust the spawn rate of witches in Horizons?

There are some lines in witchery.cfg you might want to change.

B:GenerateCovens=true
B:GenerateShacks=true
I:WorldGenFrequency=12
B:WorldGenInTwilightForest=true

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that just affecting world gen and not spawn rate? These witches are spawning constantly in caves underground.

Only in the Mystic Grove I believe stay away from them and there should be no issues Witches also follow standard lighting rules so if staying out of the Mystic Grove isn't possible light up the caves\surface.

while the Mystic Grove is absolutely beautiful during the day, don't even think going near one at night unless you like being poisoned all the time by those old hags

Gotta love Mariculture.

My thought was that you can't reduce the spawn rate, but you can reduce the places they can spawn. If it is a mystic grove you're mining under you might want to try terraforming it.

Thanks for the replies, I will try this.

Two things: To be immune to poison enchant a piece of armor or jewlery with Poison Ivy III.

Once you do get the area lit up for witch proofing try making a vanilla or cursed earth mob farm in the biome. More redstone and glowstone than you could ever imagine.
