Horizons chewing up my internet. Internet too slow to play Horizons.

I have been having a problem with feed the beast horizons v 1.0.13

it is that this game is chewing so much of my internet data, and is requiring such high bandwidth, that it is just wrecking my internet. My connection is only adsl, and is not fast enough to actually log on and play the game in my location anymore due how much needs to be downloaded for some reason. I have no idea why it is using so much data. It is rediculous. I only have thermal expension, and rotarycraft working in the area and it is only my area.

I logged on for 8 min the other day, and it downloaded 100mb. Now that is just ridiculous. For it to be needing to constantly download at that pace in order to play is just stupid. I have a 4g dongel which is the only thing i can use to actually play. but it is too expensive. i could easily use gigs within a day at this rate...

is there actaully something wrong with this modpack or the host server?

so 8 min = 100 mb at my house
2 hours = 100mb at someone elses house...

Nothing wrong. Mod packs use a lot more bandwidth when you are on a server then vanilla does. Vanilla, it's only sending you terrain and the blocks. Mods, it's sending you more things like what machines are going at the moment, their progress, how much energy is in the conduits and machines, what item ducts are doing etc etc. And it doesn't just send your base information, it's everyone on the server.

oh god... haha. guess I will just have to wait for brisbane in order to play on such a server... haha.
