Hobbyist's Steam Engine not working

First thing's first, it has water and coal, it is heating up and generating RF, it just won't output power to my autospawner.

First off I couldn't rotate it to face it, whatever wrench I used it would only ever face up, so I put it under the machine so it's facing it and still nothing. Building up energy but none is going into the machine.

I believe the steam engines all Produce mj only. Try putting a te4 Power duct or an ender io Power conduit between them. Should get you working

That has changed. BC, RC and Forestry now use RF.
But yeah, try using a wooden kinesis pipe or some other RF pipe between them.

I use thermal expansion conduits just fine.

Or, you know, just make a steam dynamo instead.

Mayhap. However, as he's using it to power an MFR Auto-spawner, I don't think it's a stretch to imagine he has the resources for a dynamo

No I was using it from a railcraft villagers house, I've sorted out other power now though so not an issue. Thanks though!
