Title:
Hobbyist's Steam Engine not working in expert mode?
Launcher Version:
1.4.8
Modpack:
FTB Infinity Evolved [Expert Mode]
Modpack Version:
2.0.2
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Built a hobbyist's steam engine, loaded it with water and multiple fuel sources (coal, coal block, charcoal, sticks, wood planks, etc.) and it simply will not start. I haven't progressed far enough for coke ovens yet, but *if* it only runs on coal coke then it should not accept fuels that it will not burn.

LOL! Not a stupid question at all, and in fact you solved it for me. I've never used this device before (I usually do the survivalist genny) and sadly neither the wiki I read nor the one YouTube video I watched showcasing the hobbyist's steam engine ever indicated that a redstone signal is *required*. Went back and looked at a newer YouTube video and a different wiki, and sure enough they both illustrated a lever on it (although neither mentioned the requirement). Thanks much for the response.
