Hi guys,

I am new to the mod community, as player and modder, and i am looking forward to test FTB and all its nice mods to the fullest.
Currently i am playing with IC², BC and Forestry, the Nuclear Control Addon for IC² and Transformers for crossing energy to BC and IC².

some personal info:
I am self-employed web- and gamedesigner, well more web, whereas i do more technikal stuff and some programming, than graphics. But i am still trying to do more and more gamedesign, balancing and thinking of writing some mods or joining a group of modders. Or perhaps record some lets plays or somethink like this.

But what i do the best is designing and checking systems for gameplay, like for balance or integrating into other systems / games.

Which brings me to the next case:
I wonder why you pressed Thaumcraft and Equivalent Exchange into this pack, since they are fantasy oriented mods afaik and i dont see how this fits into building nuclear reactors, teleporters and teleporting pipes. Perhaps making the packs more style oriented would make it easier for the texture pack makers to create a real nice minecraft experience ;)

afaik, it is because the moddevelopers are "friends" and play together, so why should they exclude someones (great) mod... and i guess, that you will be able to deactivate certain mods in the launcher.

and furthermore...it isnt like the name of the pack promises only technics oriented mods like tekkit/technik (the bad atempt at making a good pack)

the ftb pack is suposed to be an easy way to install and update the mods, aswell an easy acces to the feed the beast map (which is kinda the origin of the pack... --> for the map, EE2 was needed)!

because of this i was thinking of a mod, that sets items / recipes into a timeline, so you have to go through some kind developement / research :)

I believe there have been a few mods like that but none have been fully developed (that I know of). It sounds like a good idea, though. Go for it!
