Hello all, I have been recently getting into FTB and everywhere i got ive been stuck and lost haha, I was hoping someone would help me out, is there some sort of Picture chart that shows what powers what with arrows, and what not.

For example there is a guide here posted about putting a steam engine on top of an AA and then moving wooden conductor pipes and what not, is there a picture that shows this, like a basic guide for people who are lost? Something like the IC2 for dummies thing, but dealing with machines such as the water mill, or Pulverizer, or industrial blast furnace??

Thanks a lot guys!

First, you want liquid storage, of any kind, and liquid transport (Redstone engines, a redstone signal (redstone torches/blocks), wooden waterproof pipes and golden/stone waterproof pipes.

Now you want a power supply. Use these engines.

If you want some more powerful engines, look below. First off you'll need oil, so get a pump, and use redstone engines to pump oil into your liquid storage.

Here comes the tricky bit. Get a refinery or two, and power them with some engines. Get redstone engines to pump liquids out of the refinery and into a liquid storage somewhere, and take oil from your pump and send it to the refinery.

Once you have the yellow fluid, you can run combustion engines or force engines on it. I would recommend running combustion engines.

Once you've done all that, you can use combustion engines to power anything you want to power. Just remember to increase your power supply gradually as you get more machines, or your setup may start to look like this:

As for the Thermal Expansion machines themselves (there isn't much else that runs on MJ) I'm going to make a quick list of things that they can all do.

Aqueous Accumulator
Requires two water source blocks next to it to generate water. One bucket per tick.
Sawmill
Cuts up wooden stuff to get the planks back or to increase your wood harvesting efficiency.
Energetic Infuser
Don't worry about this. It sucks up MJ and it charges tools.
Powered Furnace
A furnace that runs off of MJ. You should probably build this first.
Pulverizer
Mashes stuff up into dusts.
Igneous Extruder
Generates cobblestone for free, smooth stone at a small cost of lava and water, and obsidian at a large cost to both water and lava. It doesn't need power, either.
Assembler
No clue what this is, go look it up on the wiki if it interests you. It's quite new, so it might be broken.
Magma crucible
Turns cobblestone, obsidian, or netherrack into lava. Netherrack is the most efficient method, obsidian being the second most efficient, and cobblestone being the least efficient.
Liquid transposer
Fills containers with liquids, and empties containers.
Induction smelter
Very good for cheap and quick tripling of ores. Also required to make hardened glass, which is required for both liquiducts and redstone energy conduits (higher tier conductive and waterproof pipes)

I hope this helped. Tell me if you need any more clarification or info.
