I wonder if its possible to gain temporary source code access to create a fix for an issue.

In this case, the advanced dna machines of extra bee's bug me, because their inventory is not very well coded. That's the reason, it is not connectable for automation like pipes or tubes.

I like the mod and bees overall, and my growing bee lab could use such an improvment.
I have the needed skill and could proof it.
Question is, who must i ask, and is this even possible. I dont want to maintain this or so, just fix something that bugs me and be gone.

Why do you assume that it's a bug?

I mean, there are mods that go out of their ways to disallow automation for certain parts, like frames in alviaries.

If you had to ask the question to someone, that would be binnie, but I haven't seen him around here, so you might as well search for him on MCF or on his own site where he distributes his mod.

You would want to contact the mod author. Some even have githubs for just such things.
