This mait be a noobish question to ask.
I want to try the FTB map but I cant get it to generate the map. I just get a normal map

You need to install a map from the maps tab and play the map with FTBRETROSSP

Well I tryied that to. But I started the other FTB mod pack and that one workt

You could then drag the world save from the FTB Beta folder into FTBETROSSP folder, so that you are playing with the right mods for the map (and the right version of minecraft - the FTB map was for 1.2.5)
