I know that there are a MILLION threads like this one but I can't find any others :p

Ok here is my problem...
Once I get to a certain bit (Diamonds,Getting to the nether ect) I stop progressing and say to myself what am I going to do now?

Or

I don't experiment with different mods or expand all my resources on a single mod (Eg: Thaumcraft)

Can anyone help with this?

Well, the second bit is quite obvious
Experiment with different mods.

If you're really struggling with your current base and what to do, Make a new one, and make a point of trying to do as many things different to your last base.

Made a base in a round tower? Make yourself a city and live amongst villagers
Started off with TE? Start off with IC2.

Whether or not you want to use your old base as a launch pad for the new one or not, up to you.

Build a fusion reactor

And then bonus: build a factory to automate pretty much everything you need.
