i am really new at this and this may not be a extreamly important thread but i really want some help! When i downloaded the FTB i logged in with my minecraft.net account and it worked but when i updated it today i can log in... Im sure its just something simple that im to stupid to see or understand but please help![DOUBLEPOST=1352833048][/DOUBLEPOST]Can't login sorry...

In the Launcher, make sure you re-edit your profile and Launch. I've seen that issue with the last update.

It's because of lame 'encryption' they are using to store your login data.
You might end up rewriting your login name and password each time the launcher updates.

No you won't, you had to rewrite it this time because the user names weren't cryptated in 1.0.3 and in 1.0.4 the user names now get cryptated too.
So unless they remove the cryptation again or deside to cryptate the profile name as well (or do other changes to the way the login info is handled) wouldn't you need to rewrite your login again.

As far as i understand, the key used for encryption is basically a regular class file. If class file is changed due to update - the encryption key changes too. During the update they might translate old data to associate it with new key, but i haven't checked that. They were using this method in beta and in the last update for now.
