Hi there, i guess the title says it all.

Im in the process of semiauto-run my fermenter/still-site, but ive run into a pretty big issue..

as i understand, it should be possible to pipe saplings into a fermenter with BC pipes right?

ive tried every side, top/bottom, and nothing works.. the sapling just pops out of the pipe!

ive succeded in piping in water from an AA and im piping out the Biomass with a liquiduct.

hope u can help :)

oh and, i did try to isolate the fermenter by moving it and trying only to pipe the saplings in, didnt work either :(

That is strange, I have a hopper above my fermenter, and it feeds without issues the saplings into it. A BC pipe should work the same.
Can you try, if a hopper solves your problem?

He's not alone, piping using build craft pipes into the fermenter wasn't working for me either. Used a hopper - No Luck. Tubes work, Routers Work though.

It seems that it is a problem with Forestry and EBXL integration (EBXL manages it IIRC), basically you can't put EBXL saplings using methods that access SpecialInventory, like hoppers, BC pipes or cart unloaders. However you can use methods that access inventory directly, like routers, RP2 or Item tesseracts.

Uhm, it's dead easy.

Using buildcraft you can pipe saplings and mulch into any side, top or bottom. Only redpower is side sensitive for this machine. My current setup uses AE to add both saplings and mulch from the side. AE works exactly like buildcraft pipes, but I've also done it with actual buildcraft pipes before I had my AE setup.

Yes well, if there is trouble with buildcraft pipes on the fermenter, the error resides between keyboard and chair.

(The most likely problem is you don't have water, apple juice, or honey)

Which pack do you use? Which version?
What kind of saplings do you want to use?

Currently running newest Mindcrack from FTB launcher.

im using Fir saplings.

Believe me, i know the error often resides with the person, but i really cant think of anything ive done wrong.
everything is supplied including water, and it does run... .. i just cant feed it any Fertilizer/saplings with BC pipes, even though water works fine with them.

Strange, EBXL saplings should work since Forestry 2.0.0.4. MindCrack 8.2.0 uses Forestry 2.0.0.11.

Same here,
At first i was using ae to supply my fermenters with the samplings i got from my steves cart farm. I removed the farm and replaced it wiith a forestry multiblock farm. All the saplings on that farm automatically get turned in to the tree breeding saplings. I just couldn´t figure out what was the case untill i popt some relays ontop of my fermenters. Turns out to be that forestry refuses its own saplings lol.
