Hey guys so today I captured a villager to put him in a MFR Auto Spawner and I realized something. I realized that they do not spawn like they used to back in 1.6.4 on the DireWolf20 pack. Yes I do have enough mob essence to make it spawn and everything is at max it just spawns 1 villager idk maybe every 30 seconds to 1 minute. Now back in 1.6.4 I used to be able to spawn zillions of these guys in a few minutes so I could get myst craft pages from them and that's pretty much what I am doing now. I just have to get the pages out of something called a shimmering book I think it is called. Well anyways does anyone know exactly how to change the spawn rate of these guys?
So here is the Config for MFR where is talks about the auto spawner do I need to change one of these values?

Ok thanks you guys :)

Do you have the spawner set to exact mode? This will slow it down quite a bit, especially for the first spawn it seems.

Do you have enough room around the spawner? Try to have 4-5 block radius or so, and at least 3 blocks high. Also place the spawner flush with the floor.

Doubt anything have changed. Sounds like you don't give it enough space. To get a spawn every cycle you need a 9 by 9 room. You need at least 3 blocks free space above(4 for endermen) and 2 blocks free below the spawner. If you have less the spawner will keep trying impossible locations and thereby be slowed.

Also place the spawner flush with the floor.
Don't do that. This will result in cutting off 3/5th of the spawning area resulting in serious slowdown of the spawner.

Odd I always put it flush to the floor even in 1.6.4 maybe they changed it a bit. I will raise it up to and post the results back and let you guys know how it went. And it is in a 9x9 room :)

Well I put it 1 block higher you guys and I have a ample amount of essence and now it works again! Thank you guys :) Also check my other post out if you guys are having serious lag I found a solution for it and made all my client side lag stop. Well I will just post it here as well. Post this in your additional java parameters in your advanced options on your FTB startup. -XX:permSize=512m I have that with 4GB of ram just for client. Now if you have 2GB for client I think you have to put this. -XX:permSize=256m Well I sure hope that helps someone cause it mad me stop laggin. I was laggin so bad and things were having like stop and goes I did that and it fixed everything. I have java 8 and am on 1.7.10 direwolf20 ok have a good one guys thanks!

AFAIK it have always been like that, at least it have been since I can remember in 1.4.7 I think. Its spawning range is +-2(a total of 5 blocks vertical with the spawner in the middle) for the mobs feet. You then need to add 1-2 blocks up to allow for the mobs height.
