Help With Geothermal Generators

I can't get my Geothermals to output power. They are all filled with lava, but this red thing isn't filled, so I figured that was it. However, I don't know what it is or how to fill it. All help is appreciated, thanks.

That I believe is the warm up or power generation amount.

Make sure the power from the geo's is going somewhere, else they won't even bother turning on.

Yes, it is linked to an MFE with gold cable 2x insulated. the MFE isn't full.

Is your MFE pointed toward the cables or away from them? Where's the dot?

The dot is towards the output. The cable isn't running into the output side.[DOUBLEPOST=1356995699][/DOUBLEPOST]I have 3 cables hooked up to it: A reactor, 4 geothermals, then the output- to a LV transformer then batbox. the other ones are working fine

Try breaking and replacing the cables. I've seen them bug every so often, and they "forget" to transmit any power.

Is there power going into the MFE from any of the other sources like your reactor? Are there any wiring loops?

You could try placing a machine (that won't blow up) or a forestry electric engine (since this can take any voltage) at various places along the line and see if it will power up. Wherever it stops working is where the problem is and those block/wires probably need to be broken and replaced to correct the energy net bug.

I can confirm that the geothermal generator has a glitch and sometimes it fails to push power.
I never saw this issue with Tekkit so it's something new in IC2 or something in the FTB Beta A pack.

Charging a tool in the generator will sometimes make it start working again.

Which pack are you using? Because if it IS Beta Pack A, I would recommend switching to one of the 1.4.7 packs as Beta A won't be updated anymore

I had this exact same issue with some geothermals and an MFE I had. No idea what caused it.

If you end up switching to the MindCraft pack, you will be able to use the "Thermal Generator" from GregTech, which gives you 30k EU per bucket. You can also use a standard Geothermal Generator and a IC2 pump to get that extra 20k EU.
