Help with crafting

Erm

PLease don't laugh at me on this one but playing uUnleashed earlier I was doing some Tinkers stuff and somehow managed to bring up crafting recipes for different items. I know in NEI you can click on an item and it will show you a recipe but this option I was able to cycle through different items by clicking the arrows. Problem is as cool as it was I don't know how I done it.

Does anyone have any idea ?

Are you sure you didn't rightclick on an item in the NEI and got the "used in crafting of other items" option?
For example if you rightclick on an iron ingot, it shows you all the recipes that uses iron ingots.

I don't think so i was able to cycle through loads of recipes that some don't even show in NEI like how to make a Large plate pattern etc

Hmm sounds odd. There is a key to bring up the NEI for an item you have sellected/pointing on, but I never bothered/figured out what it was. Else I dont know.

You probably clicked on the arrow that is in the crafting table. NEI allows you to see all the possible items that can be crafted using the item if you click on the 'recipes' button. It is the same for machines. So lets take IC2 and the macerator for example. If we click on the recipe button, which is the gravel looking thing between the input and output, we will see all the items the macerator can work on and the result of said maceration. A tool tip will pop up letting you know that it is the place you can click for the recipes of that machine.
