Help with cheat mode?

Yeah so I'm using direwolf 1.5.2 but I noticed theres a cheat mode in the inventory, and a recipe mode/utitlity mode. Is there a way to permanently disable this? It's ruining the game for me because I can't bother to play when I can just cheat lol, I know it's my own fault but I can't get over that. Can i delete that mod somehow, is it important?

The mod is called NEI, Not Enough Items, and it is not required and can be disabled, but it is very useful for looking up recipes and figuring out uses for items. You can edit the config for NEI so that it will not allow you to switch the mode that you are in while in game. I'm unable to give you the exact part at the moment, but it is quite easy to change. You essentially set it it to automatically set to one of the modes when you enter a world and another part set to true so you cannot change it.

You could also disable NEI itself and add another mod for recipes, like CraftGuide.

While it is very possible for us to write a detailed mod installation guide or NEI cheat mode disable guide here, I think you are better off asking "how to permanently turn cheat mode off in NEI?" in the simple questions, simple answers thread

In the config file for NEI, there are options for "cheatmode" and "lockmode". Set both to 0 and cheats are disabled in-game.

I wouldn't delete the mod though, being able to look up recipes is a basic necessity in modded MC. There are other mods that do it, but IMO they don't work as well

Unless your actually an Op on a server or enabled cheats on your single player world, cheat mode is the same as recipe mode.

you dont need to enable cheats in ssp to cheat items in via NEI

If you go into where you've told your pack to download to, there should be a folder "Direwolf20" inside of there, you should be able to find a config folder. This holds all the configs to all the mods you have installed, in there there will be an NEI file, it may be within a sub-folder, but it will be in the config file somewhere

From there find the two values that Seraph instructed you to and set them to the values stated
