I'm new and confused and not sure where to put this thread, so sorry if it's in the wrong place, but

I want to add Mr Crayfishes Furniture Mod to my Magic Farm 2 modpack, as i think it would be awesome to have like a little kitchen in my farm house with all those cabinets to put the utensils you need to make the food with in and stuff.

But, when I launched it with the mod added it would stop and say that the conflicted IDs would be in some file in the directory. So I sort of figured out how to fix that using google, and using a chart of all the taken up IDs using an ID dump or something, I made sure none of the IDs conflicted (I think) and now when I launch the game it doesn't start, but as soon as I remove the mod it runs fine!

Please help, I'd really love to have crayfishes furniture mod in my magic farm 2. I know I said I thought I fixed the IDs but if the fix includes starting from scratch I'm willing. Thanks~

Thats the problem, the game just doesn't start and goes back to the launcher. I don't get any crash log or crash message.

you probably didn't fix it correctly, that's what happens if you don't do it correctly. And it works fine after you remove the mod because that's the mod that was causing the ID conflict.

the stuff in the console.

Where's the console then?[DOUBLEPOST=1394340273][/DOUBLEPOST]

I know that, so I'm asking how to fix it/do it properly. I sort of fudged my way through a tutorial for an older version of minecraft, so I probably did something wrong.

*facedesk* The console is the other window that opens up when the launcher opens up.
I can't really help you without a crash log.

When you double click on the FTB launcher, there are two windows that pop up. The one in the background is the console, it lists for you in real time what the game is accessing when FTB actually gets launched.
There is an option on the FTB launcher Options Button to 'Show Console' which keeps it visible throughout the launching process and it will usually list where the program hangs. Kudos to you for working to figure this out, I've not found the courage to delve into the item IDs yet.

You can find the crashlog in a special folder in your Magic Farm 2 directory. So if FTB is installed on your desktop, it would be at ~/Desktop/FTB/MagicFarm2/minecraft/crash-reports

The files in that folder should all have timestamps in their filenames. Take one from a crash caused by this mod and upload it to pastebin.com or dropbox.com, then link to that from here, then someone might be able to help you.

Delete that config and start again this time using the ID conflict log as a guide.

Get idfix minus, it helps.
I'll have to put the mod back and get another crash report- there's a bunch in there and I want to make sure I post the right one but I don't have the chance right now.

On the other hand, what would this idfix minus do for me?

It automatically fixes Id conflicts (most of the time)

Awesome, idfix minus did the job. I have the mod installed and it works, not conflicts. Thanks so much :)
