Request Help with a (Little?) modpack

did i miss a good mod that would fit well in here?

Ello Everyone

so i run a little server for my friends and i (about 6 of us) that tends to do skyblock type maps with modpacks.

with how long long i have been running these server i feel its about time to have sort of my own little modpack that fits for all my players (and is setup in a way i like) that is not over loaded with a ton of extra things we will never use (the server is running off a semi good laptop so big loadouts = bad)

i have tried a few times to do this myself in the past (1.4.7, and 1.6.4 ) but i have failed each time massively were we only got a week or three of gameplay before bugs ended up killing the server.

here is a list of what is wanted by players (no names will be given just in case)

player 1 & 2

the Deco style mods, the big ones are Chisel 2, forge micro blocks, forestry (with the add on for it) Biblio and deco craft

Palyer 3

Likes food related mods pam's harvest craft (with the brewing addons) hunger over haul, and agricraft (i think this one has addons for other mods plants)


Player 4

likes tech base mods i think their main one is build craft (for the pipes) solar flux and thermal Expansion

player 5

likes to have magic mods thuamcraft (with addons) is normaly good for them, they also started liking Botania lately

things we all like (player 6 is covered by everything else)

Carpenters blocks very usefull for making things look nice
Appliedenergistics is nice but from what i under stand is load heavy so may not be good
Inventory tweaks
Iron chest
Nei
Extra Utilies
simplyjetpack
storagedrawers
journeymap (pretty sure this is the minimap everyone favors )
and tinkers construct (with the leveling addon not sure what its called off the top of my head)


and what i would like as the server runner

HQM (to use as a gateway system into getting supply's)
Custom NPCs (very usefull for giving out key things in a fair way)
also whatever mod lets you spawn a full void world

i might be missing something as i don't think i have ever looked at how all the mods play with each other, i am pretty sure i can make a map to use for this once the pack is together, pretty sure i know how to setup HQM as well.
i know these mods are in 1.7.10 tho if they are in 1.8 it might be nice to upgrade to that (most of the server i have been running have been 1.6.4 or 1.7.10)

i want the pack to work out were we go thought ages starting with wood, then stone into metals then compound things this is why i don't want Ex-nihilo as i do not want the players to just sieve their way to the good stuff (i do however like its making of dirt, getting water making lava and getting seeds/saplings so if getting ores out of the sieve could be turned off that would be ok)

Some mods allow disabling blocks in their config file. If you can't disable the crafting recipe for sieve in Ex-nihilo config, you can always use minetwerker to disable the recipe. There is a Tinkers construct addon that forces you to use certain tools and level them and change tool parts to be able to mine different ores and blocks.
