Help Please Lan Issue

Well me and my friend are trying to play pan we are connected to the same internet yet my lan doesn't show up on his server lists and neither his on mine. I tried localhost but didn't work. So any help please?

LAN needs a little more set-up than just clicking on one button! For a start, you need to open one world up to LAN through the options menu.

Your firewall is probably blocking your lan serevr from being viewed on his computer.
