Windows .exe Help on "Exception during reading modpackfile" and "log in failed due to ioexception"

When I start up the launcher In the console I get "Exception during reading modpackfile" but sometimes when I try it occasionally it loads then when logging in with my account I get I get "log in failed due to ioexception" I have tried this in both .jar and .exe the launcher is in its own folder.

Any crashlog or launcher log you could dump here or put on pastebin and link us?
Downloading 64bit java seems to fix a whole bunch of issues so that's always worth a try.

I'm having similar problems on both Windows and my Mac. Note that I've been using the launcher on my Windows machine since it came out, and the version I installed this morning on my Mac at about 9am PST worked fine. It is only this latest version that seems to be stumbling.

Im fairly certain those are caused by the FTB servers currently having some issues. Should be fine tomorrow, if not, try to download the launcher again then put it in an empty folder and see if you get the same error.

This error's flashed when the servers are down. They're working on it. Nothing should be wrong clientside.
