Bug Help! NEI crashes when pressing U! (Forge | FBT Monster 1.6.4 | Custom Mods)

Please note: I am not sure if this is the corect forum category to post in, as I'm fairly new. In fact; this is my very first post.

I'm using the mod pack "Feed The Beast: Monster," though many mods are removed from it and added to it.


When I press "U" to see what I can use some of some other mod's wooden planks for, my Minecraft crashes with the message "Shutting Down Internal Server." Please do help me!

Java Version: 8
Operating System: Windows 8.1
FTB Pack: Monster for Minecraft 1.6.4
RAM allocated to FTB: 4.0 GB
RAM on computer: 8.00 GB (6.94 GB usable)

What I've tried to do:

  • Reinstalled the recommended versions of NEI, EnderStorage, Translocators, and CodeChickenCore.
  • Removed all NEI plugins and addons (NEI-Plugins, NEIAddons, WAILA.)
  • Removed IndustrialCraft 2 along with IndustrialCraft 2 Nuclear Control and all of their files, like config files, et cetera.
  • Made sure that no other mod is using "U" as a keybinding in Controls.
  • Uninstalled Java and installed the newest version.

No, darn it..

I have the latest build for 1.6.4 for Forge and all of ChickenBones' mods (NEI, CC, Transcolator, EnderStorage.)
I mentioned that in the original post.

I really, really need help with this!

try downgrading NEI and CCC updating the mods you added

All of my mods are working perfectly fine and are updated for 1.6.4.

I don't see how downgrading the ChickenBones mods would work..?

"though many mods are removed from it and added to it", there's your problem... Undo all your changes, then add them back one by one and see when it breaks.

It's impossible for anyone to help you here because YOU edited the mod pack. It's most likely mods not talking nicely to each other and the only way to fix it is start fresh and add one at a time till something breaks.
