Help!! Mindcrack client won't download

I have been having problems trying to download the mindcrack client. But every time I try and download it it comes up with an error saying "Error downloading modpack!!!" Here is the log in pastbin for anyone who might be able to help.

I am getting the EXACT same error, however if I try to download it directly from creeperrepo from the URL in the console, that works just fine except when I try to open the zip it downloads I get an error saying 'not a valid zip archive'.
I also tried running the launcher as admin, no dice.

Same problem. Submitted a ticket but haven't gotten a reply yet. It only affects download of v8. v7 Downloads fine. It usually will crash around 22-23k kb downloaded. No solution found with my problem solving skills.
