I'm still noob to most of FTB (using Direwolf20).

I'm trying to set up a storage room. I want to use Ender Pouches/Chests to automate the whole thing. When I'm out and about I want to be able to stick something into the Ender Pouch, and have it sort to the right chest back at my storage room. Then I'd like to be able to request items from the Ender Pouch and have it produce it.

I tried setting up something like this before with Logistic Pipes but I couldn't ever get it right. I figure with all the changes since then there might be an easier way. Point me in the right direction?

Applied Energistics do some proper formatting of the storage cells and you can sort everything and access from a single point (though only around your base)

you can pull out from an enderchest either directly with the rather slow import buses (ideal for the enderpouch on the go) or use something else for a faster extraction into a interface, a tesseract into an interface is ideal for high speed quarries

Diamond Transport Pipes are great for early game sorting. RedPower 2 Sorting Machines are my personal favorite. If you look up RedPower 2 Sorting System you should find a ton of sorting setups. Just gotta look around. Here's a special link:

Since RP is not in 1.5.2 packs and probably won't be in 1.6 either it's probably not a good place to point new people towards.

I set up AE storage. I haven't finished it, just got the chests and access terminal set up so far, but I figure it's easy enough to set it up to pull items from an ender chest no problem. But what I'm really interested in is being able to request items to an ender pouch while I'm out and about and I have no clue how that's done or if it's even possible.

I am not aware of any way to request specific things through an ender chest (though someone else may have a way). I have heard of people setting up an ender chest to always have specific items in it and refill as they are used though. I have also heard of people setting up an ender chest that they can drop their armor and tools into to be recharged. Between those two things and one for dumping everything you find into, you should be fine. Worst case scenario, setup multiple ender chests to auto-fill with specific items.

The only way that I can think of, besides keeping multiple chests auto-filled like arentol said, would be to use a handheld transmitter from WRCBE with various frequencies for different items. Send each frequency to a CC computer using bundled cable. How the computer tells the system to send the relevant items into the ender chest requires more AE knowledge than I have, but I feel as though it should be possible.

If you're willing to use chests or barrels for storage instead, that last step is fairly straightforward. You could even cut out the computer. Just control a bunch of autarchic gates with wireless receivers.

You could always setup an alternative rout for your items of choice. Attach a few filters to the chests that contain the items you'd like to be able to request remotely, link them to an ender chest, place a wireless receiver next to each filter, then pulse on their frequency with a wireless remote. The filters will extract the items you need in set stacks with each pulse they receive. You can than pipe these items into the ender chest, and vuala.

EDIT: Thank you Silent_007 for posting near the same idea, at the exact same time :)
