Help, how do I get the most out of my laptop?

Hey all, I'm having some problems. My PC cannot run anything newer than a 2011 source engine game (Left 4 Dead 2) with an FPS greater than 60, and Minecraft fluctuates around that (but gravitates towards 40-30 >:|). Here's my specs.:
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5738G
OS: Windows 7 32Bit
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 105M
RAM: 2.99 GB w/ 32bit.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 w/ 2.00 GHz.

(I know this thing is absolutely terrible, but I can't just 'get' a new one. I am looking for tips to help make this thing less generally bad without changing it)

Upgrade your ram, should be doable for not much cost.
