Hello,

I have been playing Infinity 1.0.1 with my friend for a while now, and we manually updated some mods and removed/changed some.
It all works fine and no block- or itemIDs were conflicting or changed in our world.
However, when we try to create a new world, and take ME-Drives with all our items, or just items in our inventory, Some appear to change to items from other mods.
For example, enchanted advanced drills turned into enchanted flowers.

What could be the issue? How could it be fixed?

Thanks in advance

in the background minecraft still works with id's
A list with blockname -to- item id is created upon world creation.(stored in level.dat i believe)
so if you are creating a new world, mod item #2011 that was a carpenter block for instance could now be a flower of some sort.
The same thing happens if you use worldedit schematics with modded items. It won't work except for vanilla items. these id's remain the same.

IDs are not completely gone. They are just automatically assigned now but when you remove mods after starting a world, the numbering gets screwed up. Most things will be fine but some things such as newly crafted thermal expansion machines will get screwed up, they have random items where the upgrades would normally be.

The problem is they are now seemingly randomly assigned when the world is created, so even if you use the exact same mod pack with no updates or changes, the IDs on one saved game may be completely different from any other saved game.

Well, that's just too bad... If it's stored in level.dat I might try to write something to copy the IDs (if possible at all)

Thank you guys for the information!
