Help! Changing Server Difficluty (recipies too hard)

Hello, I am currently hosting a server for a few of my friends and I. We have been playing on the world for a little bit, but we realized that the recipies are way too hard. I saw one of ijevin's videos that he mentioned recipies having to do with the difficulty and that the default difficulty on a FTB server is hard. I am wanting to change this and have been looking for a solution with no luck. So I came here to try to get some help. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated, also, we are wanting to switch over to a new map, so it would also be helpful if someone could let me know if there was a way to save the player's inventory and move it over to a new map (if I am updating). Inside your server folder, if you're using a pack with GregTech:

MindCrack folder>Minecraft>Config>Gregtech>Recipes.cfg
from there you can change the "true" to "false" or vice versa to enable/disable different things.
The header "usefullrecipes" actually means "exspensivereciepsnobodywants", so look there.
