Hello pals! Help with a server setup?

Hello guys!
First of all, i want to thank the creators of the FTB idea, i just found you and what i think is that i´ve always looked for this place since i started play minecraft.

I am going to start a series using FTB Unleashed. There aren´t videos about it in my primary language.

So, can you guys give any tip in the server configuration in the server.properties to avoid lag?

I ask this because in my country we have a huge problem hosting private servers of any games because our upstream is very bad. I thank anybody who can helps us with this set up.

It will be a server for 8 players and our upstream is 1M.

Thank you, it really improved the performance.
Now we are experiencing client lag during some actions. Any tips for that?
We have good machines, with 16GB of RAM and good GPUs.
Our machines play Battlefield 4 without any lag at all in ULTRA settings...

Be specific as far as the client lag. What actions are causing the lag? Good ways of decreasing FPS lag is setting the graphics to Fast instead of Fancy and decreasing rendering distance.

I've already setup the options in minecraft.
Usually, for all of us, we lag when we interact with the crafting table, for example, or the furnace.
Sometimes, when we are mining.
