Greetings. As topic says, I haven't played since January, and I recently got a new build and I would like to start playing FTB again but I am having some trouble getting everything started up right.

The problem is the FTB launcher seemingly does so many things in the background, I'm not sure what it changes when it updates the launcher. Because I haven't changed a single thing, but am still getting errors.

Here is my current state:
Direwolf20 1.6.4 Version 1.0.10
Old FTB on HDD, copied over everything to SSD. Changed where FTB pointed to new SSD FTB Folder.
Two worlds - not sure which one is the one I want because I can't load them up.

World A: Gives me an ID conflict on IC2. The config of IC2 has a different ID than the world. Which is strange, because nothing should have changed. I copied over the exact files. This happens even when pointing FTB to the HDD folder. So, okay, whatever, go in to the IC2 config and change the ID. Load up...error is still there, FTB is not recognizing the ID Change I made in the IC2 config.

World B: Many missing blocks. Again...makes no sense because I did not update Direwolf20 to version 1.0.23 when it asked, so nothing should have changed. Should be exactly the same as it was back in January. Regardless, I hit load anyway and it just dumps me back to the main menu.

Things I've tried:
Running FTB fresh on SSD and simply moving saves over. This gives me Direwolf20 1.0.23 so I get missing block errors.

As above, pointing FTB at HDD folder, not updating. Issues above.

Copying over to SSD, updating to 1.0.23, same issues.

It's just bothering me, because FTB seems to be looking at something when it shouldn't. Something updated that I don't know about it's conflicting.

Is this a salvageable situation? I really don't know what's going on...:(

FTB packs tend to change a lot, so the configs are bound to get outdated also and produce errors.

Are u really fond of your worlds? I would suggest a clean install of the new pack versions, so u can test all the new goodies.

IDK if the conflicts could be fixed, if they are just id conflicts, should not be a hard task IMO.

Yea I am pretty fond of it. I've been wanting to keep a world going throughout my minecraft career but have never been able to. So much work erased by a wipe -_-

Probably just not possible with mod packs but vanilla is so lacking.

But yeah I'm going with a clean install. What's the best way to convert worlds over? I'll start a new one if I have to, no problem, but if someone could point me in the right direction I'd rather tinker with it to get my old ones.

I would rather people get correct information and be better off than believe a drama generator because someone felt like being a troll.

Yeah, i realized a bit later that maybe it could lead to a bit of chaos, forgot he was out when that post came out, I humbly apologize for that.

@Padfoote Haha, thank you for looking out for me :)
@NinjaEnergy Don't worry about it, my bullshit detector ain't completely broken. Besides, I thought the post about "Stop using Minecraft" was rather funny.

Anyhow, I went with a clean install and I looked through the changelog of Direwolf20 since 1.0.10 and it doesn't seem like there have been any game changing alterations. The problem appears to be...FTB doesn't seem to recognize all of these mods at all. I admit I'm a bit out of my element here.

Look at the bottom and all those missing mods...wtf o_O

Thanks for the attention, ya'll.

Yeah, things definetely may not go well. For me, looks like it went terribly wrong when it tried to adapt the blocks on your world with the new configs, but we would need someone more experienced on logs for this (im pretty terrible on that, lol)

Those worlds include redpower blocks and xycraft blocks(latest release for both these mods was in 147)
I think you were playing dw20 for 147

Well, that's a damn shame.

I am ready for them to stop updating minecraft already. One day I will be able to say, "Yep, this is it. This map forever". Today is not that day.

Thanks yall.
