I'm trying to use a laser drill and so far it looks like I've done everything correctly; the drill has a clear path to bedrock and its laser is showing, I have 4 prechargers and they're all pointed at the laser drill and their lasers are also showing. I have some steam engines giving power to the prechargers, and they charge up completely, but they don't transfer any energy to the drill, and so the drill doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've looked at video tutorials and I'm fairly certain I'm doing everything right, it just won't go. What am I missing?
UPDATE: I figured it out, very silly problem. I was using levers to turn the engines on, but the levers were placed on the same block the prechargers were on, which apparently turns them off. I did not know prechargers were affected by redstone.
