Having Issues with Industrialcraft2 mining laser and quantum boots

I cannot see the modes when changing them on my mining laser, I have changed the GUI to all the different sizes and still cannot see the modes.

Also I have made 2 sets of quantum boots for my buddy and myself and instantly I noticed they can jump way higher then me, the house I have is 6 blocks high and I cannot get on top. I am activating the boost function as well, without pressing ctrl i jump normally, but when I do hold it down I jump 5-6 blocks only. I have switched boot with my friend and I still have the same problem and they jump normally with my old pair.

For the lazer, is the mode switching, but not telling you? Or is it not switching at all? If its the latter, change your mode swich key, something isn't playing well with it
As for the boots, has your character been keeping active? Eating well? He might be lethargic from lack of sleep and too many snacks. Have a nap, and see if the problem persists. If it does, build yourself a frame treadmill and go for a jog

yeah the mode changes just can't tell what it is haha sometimes its a surprise when strip mining and its set to scatter

How long are you holding down ctrl when you jump? From my experience, the amount of time you hold it down does affect how high you get.

wearing any power armor with mods? after so much that stuff will slow you down including jumping/flying/running

I tested that just now, I took everything off and only had the charged Quantum boots on and still not luck, just jumps 5 blocks high, I made the pants last night and they seem to work just fine. This is frustrating
I did fix the mode switching though, just wiped all MC data and re installed the FTB launcher and it shows up now.

hehe yeah I am not to big into flying around ijust like jumping around like a rabbit and keeling stuff

I have the same problem with quantum boots that i can jump up to 5 blocks. but in the mindcrack modpack i can jump up to 10 blocks.

I found solution just remove Modular Powersuits mod . then you can jump 10 blocks high .
