Everyone on my server is having issues at a certain house on my server. Whenever we get fairly close, 10 or so blocks close, we all crash immediately. I believe it might be something to do with his crystal chests, seeing as how he has 4+ all almost max capacity, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm really hoping there might be a way to edit the server files to somehow change any crystal chests into diamond chests but I'm not sure if that's possible. I'm still learning when it comes to running servers, seeing as how this is my first one, but trying to research the problem myself. I've had no luck so far and this is a last resort. The crash report is on pastebin at this address: http://pastebin.com/Sp5c1juZ

We're all running Windows 7, the host for the server is beastnode.com and we've had no issues until now.
We're using Mindcrack version 1.4.6 and no mods have been added, aside from my own Optifine but that shouldn't affect others crashing.
We have a dedicated IP with 512 MB of dedicated RAM, only 5 players are on at max, but three when the issue began after he put several items in his crystal chests, and 5 GGB of SSD space. This is what it says on the website, at least.

You can take care of the problem with NBTedit. You can change the item IDs for all the crystal chests in that area to the ID of diamond chest. (BACKUP YOUR WORLD FIRST!!!)You will need to find the coords of the chests though, I recommend logging the coords where you crash then open the world with MCedit and go to those coords then go to the house that the chests are in. Copy the coords of all these chests then use this site: http://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/coordinates/ to find the region file the chests are in(maybe more than one so check all the coords). Then just open the region file(s) with nbtedit and find the tile-entities for the chests changing the ID on each one to the ID for the diamond chest. Then just re-upload the region files and the level.dat and you should be good to go, remember if its in a different dimension you will need the region files from the region folder of THAT DIMENSION!

Also you should pastebin the server-side error message you get upon your client crashing if you get one of those.

Erm. Thank you very much for the advice, but I'm having a terrible time researching how to do this. It seems world edit is currently only out for version 1.4.2 and our server is 1.4.6 also. Am I just missing something here? I've never used Worldedit before honestly so I'm a bit over my head with all of this.

MCedit can be used on 1.4.6/7 worlds. You need to open the level.dat with MCedit. As for instructions on how to use MCedit, search on youtube, there are plenty of guides.

o_O fail typo yes I meant MCedit on all those. World Edit is on the mind alot lately because I'm doing bug reports for someone on a forge port. Thanks for pointing that out before I led the poor guy wrong x.x
