It's been a while.
I mined a shard and crafted a wand/thaumanomicon. I later found out that you can buy shards from villagers! Most def going to go with that route from now on.
I began breeding villagers. Getting the population up was way too easy.
I built the iron golem farm (dirt, I know...)
I dragged them up there and crammed them into their holding cells.
The effects were immediate and unexpected. I now have a bunch of iron.
I researched the basic transmutations. The hardest part was gold. Getting caras was a pain before I remembered that smooth sandstone had it.
Transmuting iron into useful stuff! I came up with a recipe that doesn't produce flux. 3 iron ingots and 8 cookies = 24 copper nuggets. Tin was easier since it's just glass and iron. For times when I can't avoid making flux I walk over to the nearest silverwood tree and dump the excess aspects into it to be dissipated.
Synfill visits my base, checking out the red wheat operation. I really needed redstone at the time.
I got machines! Kind of! My first priority was this cropnalyzer so that I wouldn't have to breed blindly. While breeding I also got some random stickreed, terrawart, and hops!
The breeding operation is a huge success. Their stats are around 15-15-0 give or take. The chamber I'm growing them in could be bigger, but whatevs.
Threre's a bunch more to show you, including recyclers, a cactus powered generator and grinding for emeralds, but that will have to come later
