The mobs spawning with pumpkins on there heads is a vanilla mechanic as I was playing vanilla last night and I started seeing a bunch of mobs with pumpkins and jack o lanterns (undead only)

With Christmas and other holidays on the horizon expect more shenanigans. Thank God I don't work retail anymore since stores in the US consider Nov 1st and the beginning of Christmas

Personally, I don't mind everyone worshipping Christmas early...

Though most of the people that do are on the naughty list.

Also, no one has mentioned Pumpkin carts yet...

here in Holland you can find things for Sinterklaas (a dutch version of Santa Claus) in August... and every year it starts earlier
The company I work for is a wholesaler for food and stuff. Selling to retailers, start selling that shit in early August lol

I personally just don't see the point. I can just go buy candy, and it's more reliable, I'm more likely to get what I want. And plus, the ramp up the cost during Halloween, which sucks.

When I managed a store we'd start getting Christmas stuff, even food, in July & August. We'd start displaying it on the sales floor around September once the Halloween was on the shelves.

It makes me eat differently. The treats people gorge upon during Christmas have been on hot trucks and gross stock rooms for months. Personally I'd work extra to keep my store and stock room clean. I rewarded my people for doing the same. But most stores are filthy and can have rats yet pass health inspections.

But as soon as it ends candy prices drop like a <insert something that falls very fast>
But whatever, I don't like candy, I'm fine with my cookies and burritos w/ side of rice, and various flavored Jarritos/San Pellegrino.
