Half-Creative Mode while on server

While I am on my friends server my character is in a pseudo creative mode. I've made a video explaining it:

It started happening when the server owner switched me to creative mode to fix something, when I'm switched back to survival after a few seconds half creative mode starts.

Also what I didn't show in the video was that I can't place blocks or use items and I can only move items while looking inside a chest or machine. Me and the server owner have no idea how to fix it.

Have the server owner /op you again, switch NEI to cheat mode and then use it to set your self to creative, then back to normal. If that works set NEI back to recipe mode and have the owner /deop you again.

Flailing that maybe have him delete your player file.
