Jump ahead, I found it, got settled in and set about growing my empire... but I didn't have enough subjects in my little kingdom, so I began a program of forced breeding through kidnapping with Golden Lassos.
"Make babies or you'll never see Villager #6 again!!!"
Once I collected 12, I let the village normalize before returning them to the wild... Now I have a thriving little berg with 3 Iron Golems guarding it.
Yes, it was a "cheat" but damn! It was funny.
