Gregtech's Lightningrod and Extra Bees

Can anyone get the lightning from the excited bees family's effect to hit the lightningrod? I wanna know if its impossible or if I have the lightningrod and hv transformers setup wrong.

To further explain why it doesn't work, the lightning rod doesn't actually -need- to get hit by lightning. It will randomly act as if it was getting hit, but only during a thunderstorm.

I think so, if it creates a thunderstorm or rain, it should be capable of triggering a lightning rod (90% less frequency in rain, but it still strikes).
