Mac Gregtech machines dont seem to work [SOLVED]

Im trying to get the industrial electralizer and the centrifuge to work but they are unresponsive. normally you would would see a message saying not enough power or something but nada. i know there is enoguh power going in but nothing i do seems to make the machines work. everything else seems to work fine though...

anyone else have this issue? anyone found a fix? or am i doing something fundamentally wrong... using FTB ultimate btw.

did you place in cells? both machines require cells for most recipes

yarp was being a derp. the machines need cells but i was using cans...
