Gregtech in FTB Infinity 1.11.2?

Has anyone got a set of steps that gets GregTech working in FTB Infinity 1.11.2?

I have tried numerous versions of GregTech but I get a variety of bad results.
Eg: If DenseOres is enabled - The server doesnt even load.
If It is disabled, the server loads after a long wait - but when I try to connect, it boots me out of the server
'TimedOut' or other connection closed errors etc : 4/5 times


Has anyone found a combination of mods that gets gregtech working with ftb infinity?

GT5, GT5u, or GT6?

Problems with GT are usually due to Forge versions. Don't ask me which one's the correct version cuz I dunno.

I've tried GT6, then 5 then 5u - all on fresh ftb infinity 1.11.2 installs.
Can't seem to get a stable install

Update forge to 1492. After that you should be able to connect.
