48 I have 32 stacks of that stuff, and if I didn't put a void upgrade on its drawer I would be getting more without doing anything.
I believe that dark gem's have a bit higher drop rate than dark quartz, however you need 9 gems to make a block as opposed to 4 quartz. So... dark quartz is probably cheaper.

44 and.... apparently structured crafters cause the tps issues I have.
I now can't even log in anymore and it will be a long time before I can make another kind of automatic crafter, so if I fix it by removing the crafter I won't be able to run my machine thus, I won't be able to get resources automatically......

40 yep, even worse is that when you are loading a world you get random tips one of them saying
"Automate just about everything"
Kind of hard to do without an automatic crafting table. No filters I can get around with, but that,not.... really.....
(also, that was the pack owner who suggested that for those that didn't catch that)

40 so... I decided to dig into the problem, and give the maker of structured crafter the needed file so he could debug.
After installing the correct mod on the server to do that and logging on, I discovered that the lag is gone.
I'm not sure if I should be happy or disappointed right now. Happy, as it works again. Sad because the real problem still isn't fixed and won't be.

Don't mind the random bee house. I need a certain wax to progress, and I hope that I can finally get that, and this is the only place that isn't a dessert.
A good bit of it is a savanna but there is also a river biome here. Which is why I'm building it all the way here.
