19 I don't get why people seem to think that covering yourself with an insulator is the best way to defend against lightning. It'd make much more sense to completely surround yourself with a good conductor to direct the electricity around you. Like what this guy's wearing.

20 it's pretty common belief that the electricity will just be scared of you if you were a rubber suit.

What? You say that's not common belief? Only in the American south, I guess :p

I never said it wasn't. Just that I don't get it, because physics.

Yeah, but it doesn't work as well. You are much more conductive than rubber, so if you do get struck by lightning, it'll go through your cap, the entire length of your body, and out through the soles of your boots. Sure, you might be less likely to get hit, but don't think you can stand out in a golf course in a thunderstorm and be safe.
