it also shows a "nice" feature of linux where it doesn't look at the extension most of the time and instead looks at the first bytes or so, in this case it discovered it was text >_<

easy fix though, just found it fun

they are not really important and fixing it was just how you fix it when windows fucks it up, even easier as it lists all the programs you have and not only a selected few that never are what you want
