I feel the need to point out that last night was the first time I've ever watched Lord of the Rings. Like actually WATCHED it, rather than glancing up occasionally while others are watching.

at this point there are about 4 books series that I have only red the first book from. I am probably going to butcher those names as I am translating there names to English.
the elves
the dwarfs
the alves (I killed this title, I know it)
and of course game of thrones.
I also really recommend that if you read the dwarfst to also pick up the alves(I again killed the title >_>) as they area bout the same but from the other side.

The movie only touches on the first book, and doesn't even do it all that well. The main Ender series is about 5 books long, but there are actually about 20 books that take place in that universe.
As for the other series, they're some of my favorites, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
