35 For me, it's usually more annoying than anything else. When I try to type in a recognized word immediately followed by some numbers (such as Shazam08), the stupid thing will fill in what it thinks my next word the moment I hit the button to switch over to the keyboard with numbers, and breaks my train of thought by forcing me to hit backspace like ten times.
When I type on my phone, it pops up a little bar above the keyboard with some guesses as to what I might be trying to type. The first guess is *always* precisely what I've typed so far; also, one of the guesses (may or may not be the first one) is highlighted. When I hit space, it fills in whatever the highlighted guess is in place of whatever I actually typed. I can also tap any of the guesses to fill in that guess.
What I wish would happen is that when I hit space, it fills in precisely what I typed- i.e. the first guess. That way, I can type away without autoincorrections interrupting my train of thought, but if I want, I can still look up at the list of guesses to see if any of them are actually what I intended to type.
I've looked through the settings a couple of times trying to find an option for precisely the above. There are options to disable certain sets of autocorrections entirely, but that just removes them from the guess list entirely. Not what I want.
