wait wut is that treu what does that mean im scared now :(

There have been a few threads about it. Apparently in rare circumstances ender tanks can cause chunks to reset to the state they were in when the chunk was first generated. Meaning...you lose everything in the chunk.

It's never happened to me...but I try to only use tesseracts now for that reason. ;)

So I just made two endertanks on the server I play on, should I uncraft them (if that's possible) and get tesseracts instead?!

I think that there have been issues with ender tanks/chests and resets for a while (twilight forest was mentioned a lot in this), but I've never seen it personally. As I recall, there is a thrroughput limit to ender tanks, but nothing that you're likely to hit (go watch the DW20 S4 SMP lava age videos for reference, they had 6 pumps running full power and saw the limit, but feeding direct to a generator/small buffer shouldn't be an issue). Personally, as a starter system, ender tanks would be my choice, mainly for resource cost. Tesseracts require pretty much the entire set of TE machinery to craft (induction smelter for hardened glass, magma crucible and transposer), plus a diamond, 3 more ender pearls (which are tricky to get early, or 12 iron, which is useful), overall, they're what I make late game to overhaul my systems.

Or 12 iron? You can make ender pearls from iron?

Yup, part of EE3 is to transumte 4 iron into 1 pearl. The balance and possible "cheaty-ness" of this is often under debate, although, as someone who recognises that ender pearls are used in pretty much any long-range movement system, and who really can't be bothered to go out and hunt endermen, who have the bad grace to have high health, high damage AND teleport away, I quite like the addition. Balancing any readily renewable resource against a mineral is tricky, but given the iron is quite useful in a lot of recipes, it's a reasonable one to pick.

Do you need a stone or whatever it's called?

What is the exact conversion cost? I have a tonne of iron, but need ender pearls, heh.

8 minium shards around an inert stone (made of stone and iron and gold) makes a minium stone.

A minium stone unlocks hundreds of crafting recipes. It can be used 1500 times before it breaks.

1 recipe is 4 iron + minium stone (durability x) unshaped crafting = ender pearl + minium stone (durability x-1)

Ohhh. I can be used 1500 times. Okay.

That was the main thing I was missing. I thought you used it up every time. I was like uh....
