Hello everyone. I know that this is a very old thread, but who cares
Sorry for any grammar errors, I'm not native to eng.
I have calculated and builded a super efficient turbin reactor
Just for information
7700 rf/tick
while 0.022 mb/tick
resulting in ~350mrf per ignot.
So far I have calculated how to build two variants of turbin reactors
First one(That I was enthusiastic enough to build), I named it 3x3 turbin reactor(7700rf/tick, 0.022 mb/tick)
and Second one 5x5 turbin reactor (~14krf/tick, 0.4 mb/tick, doubled energy)
First one better because... there's trucky thing to set this work with... how good liquid tubes to provide enough of water and steam.
Well, let's see information about 3x3 turbin reactor
Important information for building
https://ftbwiki.org/Turbine_Rotor_Blade
->25mb tick per blade
http://wiki.technicpack.net/Multiblock_Turbine_Coil
->Enderium Block is the best one
http://wiki.technicpack.net/Multiblock_Turbine
Enderium - Produces 299 RF/t and Consumes 27 Steam mb/t
(Tested at 900 Rotor Speed)
Enderium produces 606 RF/t and Consumes 55 Steam mb/t at 1800 RPM
First we need 3x3x1 regular reactor
http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design...d=true&controlRodInsertion=0&layout=EX2EX2EXE
3 rods in vertical and 6 ender liquid buckets on the right and the left
it provides 667mb/tick, while 0.022mb tick consuming, 380% eff(not very big, but it's enough, quite enough, and mb even not important)
Then we'll build 3x3 turbin reactor. Calculating 667/25(per blade) = 26,68 blades required;
4 blades per height in 3x3. 27/4 = 6.75;(7 height of blades is required)
then calculating 667/27(per enderium at 900 rotor speed(I guess we can at 1800 rpm, I'll try, later)
resulting in 24 enderium blocks
8 per height blocks, = 3 blocks of height for enderium blocks
resuting in 10 height of the turbin reactor.
P.S. i've tried at 1800 rpm. 12 enderium blocks are enough, 7665 rf/tick is provided by the turbin reactor
and that's great, because it opens to building even Bigger Reactors by my method.
Well, I said about tricky thing with tubes? You need to be sure that
You're pumping in more than 660 water mb per tick
and pumping out more than 660 steam mb per tick
See that your liquid extractors and tubes are good enough.
Also, Liquid port for reactors by ftb information is capable to handle only 360 mb per tick, so I have two for input and two for output.(four ports)
May be that's not true. But I just need to be sure.
How to calculate and build even bigger reactor, I hope you understand from my thinking and writing.
Good luck.
P.P.S. Calculate your turbin reactor from steam mb/tick that's provided by your regular reactor. The best variants where you build it very small but with good efficiency.
My second reactor 5x5
Main reactor
http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design...controlRodInsertion=23&layout=6O3X2OXEX2O3X6O
1344 mb/tick with 418% efficiency(don't improve, it's very important to have only 1344 mb/tick), while 0.04mb tick of ignot consuming.
it's a 5x5x1 reactor. In the center of it one liquid ender. Around it 8 rods, and around it 16 of air.
8 blades per height in 5x5.
1344/25/8 = 7 height of blades
1344/55 =~ 24 ender blocks = 1 layer(height) of ender blocks.
Resultuing energy
14400 rf/tick while 0.04mb tick consuming
=350mrf/per ignot efficiency(the same one)
How to build even bigger, I think is very understandable.
Though ender blocks are not very cheap
=============================================================
P.P.S. I have calculated Ultimate Turbin Reactor (a.k.a. TurboReactor)
maximum for liquid input and output for turbin reactor is 2000 mb/tick
building
main reactor
http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design...&controlRodInsertion=22&layout=6E3X2E3X2E3X6E
5x5x1, in the center of it, 3x3 of rods. around it 16 buckets of ender liquid
setting insertion at 22% for 1972mb/tick and 0.044mb/tick of ignots.
if 5x5 turbin reactor also then
1975/25/8= 10 height of blades
36 blocks of enderium, 24 for one level, and 12 for another.
resulting in 12 internal hight of turbin reactor.(5x5x12)
36*600 = 21600 rf/tick
while 0.044 mb/tick consuming
=490909 rf per mb
well, 490mln of energy per ignot)
arounding it to 500mln.
0.5b per ignot.
very good numbers...
