Going nuts here trying to find a desert and floating island

Hey all,

I'm at a loss.. I've been looking for hours for a desert and floating islands. Is there anyone out there that could help me?

my seed is: -2832147512734747116 (with Biomes OP)

Using Infinity - 1.3.4

I could also show my journey map if I knew how

So if anyone could help it would be grand

Finally found a floating island (was closer to spawn than expected) ... but still no desert.. I'm at 20+ hours searching now! *goes even more nuts*

Only thing I can say is if you are playing with BoP do not expect to find any single biome without extreme luck. BoP adds like forty something biomes to vanilla's ~12 biomes, so your chances for finding vanilla's biomes are very slim. What do you need this this desert for? Some things that say they need a desert (like bees and I think mekanism salination plants[yes I just butchered those words, sue me]) use the forge biome dictionary to function in a "equivalent" biome to a desert (like a thing that requires a swamp biome should work in the BoP bog biome)

well the main reason was to find a cactus.. but lately I've in my head to try and avoid the nether/end as much as I can.. same for quarries... but yeh that brings me to stuff that I need cinderblooms for (blaze powder)

Same happens to me in the last 2-3 games. What I will do next time is A) get up to botania sojourner sash before i start exploring. B) get a thaumometer and a wand before traveling. So this way I collect my node/research points and I feel less guilty to waste my time. C) I'll do a shortcut or 2 via the nether. If it's true that the desserts are hard to get in, they are also gigantic and it's just as much hard to get out nowaday. So by going trought the nether and spamming a few portals I can cover a lot of distance on the overworld and with a tiny bit of chance fall somewhere were I can see a desert on my map.

Since you can't fly that easily in infinity (then i can in direwolf), maybe an ender IO staff of the traveler would be good as well.
