Ok i am looking for a little help, myself and the community i play with used to play the 1.4.7 version of the Mindcrack pack, which we all loved, new blocks,machines and was not too easy. So now i am looking for a pack that has those mods and difficulty but updated to the new FTB minecraft version. hence the Go back but stay here title.
We have tried all the new mod packs and found them all a bit easy and OP/Overbearing and within about 4 days we would all have the best gear and so much resources we kinda got bored lol. We are a community that likes to build but also likes to advance through the tech tree which is why the gregtech at the time was a must.

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Try Test Pack Please Ignore, it has GregTech configured to be as much like it was in Ultimate (and Mindcrack) as possible and has various balance adjustments to other mods in the pack.

Also, adding in Rotary Craft/Reactor craft is a good idea as well, as Rotary craft has a well designed tech tree and power system. And Reactor craft's fusion reactor makes Gregtech's look like a water mill, both in terms of size and power production(millions of RF per tick).

I have tried the TPPI and did not think much of it as i did not really like Ultimate. I found them to contain far too many mods some of which were OP (morph). I guess I am looking for streamlined hard pack, if someone could remake the mindcrack pack but just with updated mods that would be great lol.

Have you tried disabling the morph abilities?

Try the Madpack on the ATLaucher. Yes it has dartcraft, but dartcraft is balanced with everything else in the pack. Not sure if it has gregtech, but you can add that yourself.

Why is Morph OP? In TPPI it has abilities disabled. The only thing about it that could be OP is going in small holes.

I second trying out TPPI, you'd be really surprised at how good the balance is.
