RFTools is useful. If you can manage to build up two stacks of glowstone blocks, then you can use the material dimlet thingies plus any terrain/feature modifier in your dimension and then you'll get massive amounts of glowstone. Again, though, you'll spend a lot of time getting there, and then you'll have too much.
I imagine glowstone tendrils would look pretty cool, though.

RotaryCraft has the best method for manufacturing glowstone; 4 blaze powder in a compactor.
(a dedicated glowstone factory would make for a very interesting build too- you should do it)
