Getting Tired :/

I have been playing my small little FTB Lite 2 Pack for a little while but i'm starting to run out of things to do. I have added Tinkers, Dartcraft and Thaumcraft, but it is not nearly enough to keep me entertained for much longer. My (weak) computer can handle a few more mods but I don't want to have to restart my world. Is there anyway to safely install mods while already playing in an active world, or is there no risk and should I just add another mod as I normally would? And, do you have any suggestions of small-medium sized mods I could add? Thanks guys!

I would say the risk is almost non-existent. What some mods can do is affect world generation. This can have effect that when you explore new areas, it is very distinctly different than chunks that were there before. It is propably tougher to deal with removing mods than adding new ones.
