I use a 2x3 LP boiler, with a hobbyist engine to power my treefarm, the output of which I pump into barrels. The wood has a diamond pipe passing it into a powered furnace, outputting into the boiler. When the boiler is full, and the furnace is full, all excess wood goes into barrels. The furnace is powered by another hobbyist engine, and the excess steam is used by 4 commercial engines to power my rudimentary processing setup, lasers when needed, charge the energy units, and, recently, destill the saplings into biofuel, to be put in an iron tank. This is useful, as it's essentially getting free-transportable energy from the setup that can either power quarries or IC2 power, when I set it up.

Got another noob question. Are there teleport pipes in FTB? ive been watching a few of Direwolf20's video's on youtube and he uses teleport pipes but i cant find it.. Does this means its out of FTB? or does it have another name?

There is a teleport pipe mod out there that does work. I had it for 1.4.2 and also for 1.4.5. The problem is it doesn't work exactly like the one in DW20's 1.2.5 SSP season. That pipe passed logistics between locations. This one does not. All items pumped into one end come out the other, that's it. I was quite disappointed when I went to make an oil rig away from my main base. My plan was to show up with a teleport pipe, a basic logistics pipe, plop the two down and be able to remotely order what I needed from my main base. Since that didn't work the base never really got built.

The other problem with it is the power teleport pipe will take as much power as it can grab from the grid. I had a plan on powering my IC2 miner (love that thing!) by hopping it to a new location and powering through my main base's grid via power teleport pipe. That side of the operation worked great, it was operating at full speed. I get back to the main base to find the power teleport pipe sucking 50MJ/t out of my redstone energy cell. o_O Not good since I was only pumping in 4MJ/t.

Anyway, if it will be of some use here's the download location:

btw if you disabled gregtech like some people here suggested keep it disable. if u activate it after u have turned if off in a map, the ores that mod gives you will be just gone. so basically u wont be able to get stuff like aluminum unless u make a new map or (i'm not sure if this works) move really really far from your starting point. there are some great machines added by this mod, so all i did was go into the conf. and disabled expensive solar panels.

Yeah, standard advice for any mod which touches world gen. Well, except for Thaumcraft 3.
